I Heart Nashville

Franklin (see slideshow to the right for photos)

I loved Franklin. It reminded me of Coronado but it was in the middle of the country instead of by the ocean. The town was full of charm, good shopping, good eating and really nice people. The town is known for being where the "snobby" people live which I came to realize means that a lot of people in Franklin fall into 1 of 2 categories: 1) They have deep family roots that go back to pre-civil war times and they are proud to still live in the same area as their forefathers, or 2) they are not from TN at all and have relocated there. Either way, the people are a bit snobby and since I'm from San Diego, I'm quite comfortable with that.

Franklin has:
  • A quaint, historic shopping district-complete with a Starbucks
  • A flair for arts, crafts and culture
  • A giant library
  • A more modern township that has Whole Foods, Target and any number of other modern conveniences
  • Quaint homes that feel like you are in the middle of the country, even though you are minutes from town and only 20 Minutes from Nashville
